Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) Initiative

The TLC Initiative is aimed at comforting distressed children when visiting the accident and emergency department of a hospital (the children take the Teddy home with them after treatment). The scheme supported and funded principally by WRMCL is Province wide and all hospitals with A & E facilities for children are provided with Teddies at no cost to the hospital.

The scheme was initially introduced into the Sheffield Childrens Hospital by W. Bro. Peter Taylor, who made all the original arrangements for introducing the teddies there. Thanks to his personal efforts the scheme proved to be a great success at the hospital.
