Keighley Lodge No.3463

Keighley Lodge was consecrated on the 19th of October 1910. The Centenary of our lodge is up and coming this October.

Keighley Lodge is small in numbers currently totalling 26 members but is considered by many to be a very friendly Lodge.

Our Mother Lodge is the Royal Yorkshire Lodge No.265 and we meet in the same rooms in Cooke Street in the centre of the town.

Traditionally Keighley Lodge and Royal Yorkshire Lodge met on a Tuesday. Tuesday is traditionally a half day closing day in Keighley and it is almost sure that this was the reason for the Tuesday meetings as a lot of the original and newly initiated members thereafter, were from the local retail trade. Royal Yorkshire still meets on a Tuesday but around 10 years ago Keighley lodge changed to a Thursday meeting. The lodge holds 9 meetings a year and we close for a summer recess in July and August and a winter recess in February.
