Yet More Charity Presentations
A group of Harrogate Masons visited Christ Church Parish Centre on Monday 16th January to see the recently installed Automated External Defibrillator (AED). They had responded to a request from Kath Barff (Church Warden) to Bob Boyd of The Doric Lodge No 2695 for a grant towards its cost who in turn asked Doug Mills Charity Steward of The Spa Lodge No 7609 to make an application on behalf of local Lodges to the Provincial Grand Master’s Fund (PGMF). £1000 was subsequently approved and the photo shows Masons, Monday Monkeys together with the vicar Rev. Matthew Evans, Parish Clerk Jill Walters, other members of the PCC and historian/lecturer Gillian Hovell outside the entrance to the centre.
Everyone acknowledged the benefit that would be derived from the AED not only to the Parish Centre User Groups but to the wider community of Christ Church.
Whilst at Christ Church it was of great interest for everyone to see and hear of the plans recently approved for an exciting project that is designed to improve the entrance and facilities of the Centre.
