Masonic Grants for Flood Relief

This is the list of the grants that have been made from West Riding Masonic Charities and the Grand Charity as at 1 February 2016.  These total £36,000


£8,000             Calderdale Community Fund

£8,000             Bradford Community Fund

£8,000             Leeds Community Fund

£5,000             Tadcaster Emergency Action Group

£1,000             Elland ‘Hub’ for rental of a vehicle to redistribute donated furniture & white goods to local families

£1,000             Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team

£1,000             Calder Valley Mountain Rescue

£1,000             Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue

£1,000             Cave Rescue Organisation Clapham

£2,000             Various Community Based Groups


We are delighted that some of the above grants have been match funded by the West Yorkshire Mark Masons from their Mark Benevolent Fund to a total of £19,000.


Within a five week period Freemasons in Yorkshire have given a total of £55,000 to community based groups to assist in flood relief work.  Of this total £53,000 should be eligible for match funding from the Governments Storm Eva Scheme.
