News from the Provincial Grand Master, December 2015
I am pleased to hear of the Master Masons group in Area 5 embracing a full programme of involvement which, together with their individual mentors, has prompted discussions on a wide variety of topics. Their work will go forward under the banner of ‘Masonic Light.’
I am encouraged by the formation of groups such as the Barts Club in Sheffield and the Goose and Gridiron at Harrogate, all of which encourage social intercourse as well as the opportunity to discuss what individuals wish to learn and achieve from Freemasonry – and all in relaxed, informal surroundings complemented by an inexpensive buffet supper.
I was thrilled that so many Masons below the chair attended the Quarterly Communication of Grand Lodge for the first time, and both myself and fellow Rulers were pleased to see them at Great Queen Street in December. I look forward to receiving their feedback.
Finally, I am delighted to hear that the 2017 RMBI festival has achieved the staggering sum of £2m thanks to the outstanding support and generosity of our Brethren and their families.
Long may your efforts continue during the final 15 months of fund-raising.
My fraternal greetings to my Brethren and their loved ones. I look forward to working with you to make 2016 the best year yet!
