Secretaries and Scribe E’s Education Workshop / Seminar

Secretaries and Scribe E’s Meeting’ to be held at Southwood, Halifax on Thursday 25 October 2012 (Reception 6.30 for a 7.00pm start).

The meeting will take the form of an interactive workshop covering various aspects of the work associated with your particular Office. The following is a synopsis of the topics we will cover:

  • Membership applications – the process and issues
  • Submission of documents – what is required when
  • Summonses – what to watch out for
  • Dispensations – when needed
  • Honours enquiry process
  • Joining Members from this and other Constitutions
  • Visiting in this Constitution and outside
  • Current issues relating to your role

The next meeting of the ‘MM Academy: Area 1’ is to be held at Hoyle Court on Wednesday 31 October 2012. The programme for the evening is as follows:

  • Learning Ritual, Paul Hornby
  • The Assistant Officers in the Lodge, Graham Cooper
  • Beyond the Craft (Information about Side Orders), John Davis

We will be using PowerPoint presentations for this Academy. This meeting is open to all Master Masons, Fellow Crafts and Entered Apprentices in Area 1.
